What this connection shares

Selected lights only

Home Link sends ChatGPT the names and states of lights you select. Commands travel through this service to your Home Assistant. During setup, the service reads your list of lights so you can choose.

Sign in at Home Assistant

Your password is entered on your Home Assistant page. This service stores encrypted login tokens, the home address, your chosen lights, and plugin authorization records. The operator controls the encryption key and can technically access stored connections.

Disconnect whenever you like

Ask ChatGPT to disconnect your home. This deletes the home connection, its stored upstream credentials, and invalidates its plugin tokens. You can also revoke Home Link in Home Assistant’s OIDC Provider. The integrations remain installed until you remove them in Home Assistant.
